Kanye West dedicated a significant portion of 2022 and 2023 to quietly laboring on his comeback to the music scene. While there were occasional releases featuring the rapper during this period, they were collaborations with other artists and failed to make a substantial impact. Now, West is determined to make up for lost time not only by reclaiming his spot on the charts but also by consistently releasing new music.

The controversial hip-hop artist recently unveiled two new tracks on Friday (February 23), once again in a supporting role. West teamed up with French Montana for the song "Where They At," prominently featured on Spotify's New Music Friday alongside hip-hop artist Westside Gunn. Additionally, he is credited on another track titled "Stand United," also led by Montana.

Both "Where They At" and "Stand United" are part of Montana's latest project, Mac & Cheese 5, continuing the series' legacy. The previous installment, MC4, dropped in 2016.

Once highly sought-after for features, West's demand in the music industry waned recently due to controversial remarks and actions, leading to loss of brand deals and a significant decline in net worth. Despite this, artists like Montana continue to collaborate with him.

The release of "Where They At" and "Stand United" follows closely on the heels of West's latest album, Vultures 1, a collaborative effort with Ty Dolla $ign under the new super duo alias ¥$. Vultures 1 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking West's eleventh chart-topping album and $ign's first.

While Vultures 1 gains traction, West is already looking ahead. With two more albums in the pipeline alongside $ign, slated for release this spring, the momentum continues. The next installment in the Vultures series is set for March 8, followed by a third on April 5.
